I love being able to portray the beauty in everything I photograph. My photography is a mix of country rustic stories, priceless moments, and down-home charm. I love photographing outdoors and pairing portraits together with nature in unique and beautiful ways. I believe that every small detail in life has a story to tell and I have a job to tell it. So I love photographing everything from your baby’s adorable dimples to the muddy shoes you never thought would be so darn cute. I have quite an eye for capturing unexpected details, nature-inspired memories, genuine smiles, silly expressions, and precious moments in ways that still say “this is art.”
My process is centered around you and what you want to capture. From weddings to families, everyone has those moments in time that they want to capture and keep forever. I understand that and I want to give those moments to you in the form of a photograph. So I will work with you to go over what you would like to see, and we can brainstorm on how to make sure that translates into a magical moment in a photograph. After you book a date with me and I show up to take those photos, I go back to my computer and I edit them right away. When I am done, I will upload them to a smugmug gallery and email you a temporary download link for you to download your high-res images. Small photo sessions will take 24-48 hours to edit. Large events usually take about a week.
That is my motto. I not only live by the simplicity of each word, but also by the true meaning each word carries with them. To design means to see something in life with your eyes, visualize the potential of what it can be at its best, plan how it can meet that potential, and execute exactly what it needs to be. To create means give life to an idea, to start from somewhere, with whatever tools you have available, and to do everything in your power to make it come alive. To inspire means to live in a manner that the light you bring into the world not only lights your own path, but the path of those who need it. I live by these words, and they have fueled the passion behind who I am today.
